Duvet covers
What's the difference between a duvet and a duvet cover?
The duvet is the soft filled insert that keeps you warm. The duvet cover is the cotton case it slips into, and you wash it like a bedsheet. We sell both. See our duvet covers.
Which thread count should I pick, 550, 600 or 800?
All three are cotton. The higher you go, the denser and smoother the cloth feels. 550 TC jacquard starts at ₹8,399 for king, and 800 TC Merrowing is ₹13,599. Read the thread count guide.
My duvet isn't a standard size. Can you make a cover for it?
Yes. Just measure the length and width of your duvet. We'll stitch a cover to that size in 550, 600 or 800 TC cotton. Order a duvet cover.
Do the duvet covers come with pillow covers?
Yes, the 600 TC and 800 TC covers come with matching pillow covers of 43 x 69 cm. If you need more, we make extra pillow covers in the same cloth. See the covers.
Do you also sell the duvet that goes inside?
We do: goose down and down-and-feather duvets in 125 and 250 GSM, in single, king and super king. Prices run from ₹12,699 to ₹35,699. See goose down and feather duvets.
Quilts
Which quilt is best for a Delhi winter?
For most bedrooms, a 350 GSM winter quilt like our Spread Mushy (from ₹8,400) is a good start. If your room runs very cold, go for the Moonwalker at 700 GSM. See winter quilts.
What does GSM mean on a quilt?
GSM is the weight of the filling, in grams per square metre. A higher number usually means a warmer quilt. 350 GSM is a winter weight, and 700 GSM is for the coldest nights. Compare quilt weights.
What sizes do your quilts come in?
Our winter quilts come in king, 228 x 274 cm, and single, 152 x 228 cm. The Moonwalker is cut a little bigger than usual in both sizes. Each product page lists the exact measurements. See quilt sizes.
Should I use a quilt and a blanket together?

Blankets
How do I know which size blanket fits my bed?
Add your mattress width to twice its depth, then compare that with the blanket's width. Most of our double blankets are 220 x 240 cm. See king size and double bed blankets.
What does a Mora blanket cost in India?
Mora king size blankets from Spain cost ₹22,999 to ₹34,499, depending on the design. Mora kids blankets start at ₹4,299. See Mora blankets.
Do you have blankets for kids?
Yes. We have nine Mora kids blankets with teddies, elephants, balloons and stars, from ₹4,299 to ₹8,399. Most are made in Spain. See kids blankets.
Do you sell German blankets?
Yes, Biederlack from Germany, in double and single bed sizes, from ₹13,850 to ₹27,999. One thing to note: the Plush Home single is a generous 220 x 240 cm. See Biederlack blankets.
How should I store my blanket after winter?
Wash or clean it as the care label says, and let it dry fully. Then keep it in a cotton bag in the almirah rather than plastic, so it stays fresh for next year. See all blankets.
Upholstery fabrics
How much fabric do I need for my sofa?
A modern sofa takes about 4.5 metres per seat, and an Indian carved sofa about 3.5. That counts both the seat and the back. Work it out for your sofa.
What is rub count, and does it matter?
Rub count tells you how well a fabric stands up to daily wear. For a family sofa, pick an everyday home grade (15,000 to 30,000 rubs). If you have children or pets, go for heavy use (30,000 to 50,000). Read about rub count.
What does upholstery fabric cost per metre?
Our Sarom range runs from ₹695 to ₹1,780 a metre, including the Bikaner collection, chenille, velvet and suede-finish leatherette. See Sarom upholstery fabrics.
Can someone come home and help me choose?
Yes. In Delhi NCR and Gurgaon the design visit is free. We bring fabrics to your sofa, take measurements and give you an estimate. Re-covering labour starts at ₹2,500 per seat, and the exact figure is confirmed at the visit. See upholstery fabrics.

What does it cost to reupholster a three seater sofa?
From about ₹26,940 at Jagdish Store: 13.5 metres of Bikaner collection fabric at ₹1,440 a metre, plus labour from ₹2,500 a seat. The exact figure is confirmed at the free home visit. See the cost for every sofa shape.
Which sofa fabric works best with kids or pets?
Go for a heavy-use grade. Our Velthra suede-finish leatherette is graded 30,000 to 50,000 rubs and weighs 520 GSM, at ₹1,710 a metre in 21 colours. Compare sofa fabrics.
Is leatherette real leather?
No. Leatherette is a faux leather with a PVC or PU surface. It is tough and graded for heavy use, but it is not animal hide. Read our sofa fabric guide.
Wallpapers
How many wallpaper rolls do I need?
A standard designer roll of 53 cm x 10 m covers about 45 sq ft. Our guide walks you through the count, wall by wall. Count your rolls.
What does designer wallpaper cost?
Our designer wallpapers start at ₹8,900 a roll. Most are under ₹12,000, and a few large scenic designs cost more. See designer wallpapers.
Do you fix the wallpaper too?
Yes. Fitting is ₹850 a roll with premium glue included, and part of a roll counts as a full roll. Wall murals are ₹20 per sq ft. Our wallpaper shop and fitting.

Should I buy all my rolls at once?
Yes, please. Each print batch can differ slightly in tone. Rolls bought together come from the same batch, so the wall matches. Shop wallpapers.

What do carpets cost at Jagdish Store?

Which carpet materials do you have?
We have art silk, polypropylene, polyester and faux fur. Art silk has a soft sheen for drawing rooms, and faux fur feels cosy underfoot in a bedroom. Browse by material.
