Jagdish Store — www.jagdishstoreonline.com
Version 2.0 · Effective 9 September 2026 · Replaces the previous version of this policy.

This policy explains what we collect about you, why, who else sees it, and what you can tell us to do with it. It is written to be read, not filed.

1. Who holds your data

R.K. Furnishings Pvt. Ltd., trading as Jagdish Store. CIN U17214HR2008PTC128350. Director: Ravi Khandelwal. Shop No. 21, 22, 23 & 24, Ascott Ireo City Centre, Sector 59, Gurugram, Haryana 122101. Email sales@jagdishstoreonline.com. Phone +91 98100 12660.

2. What we collect

You give us Name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, and anything you write to us. If you place a made-to-measure order, the measurements you supply.
Your order What you bought, when, for how much, delivery status, returns and refunds, and any GST details you give us for an invoice.
Payment We never see or store your card number or CVV. Our payment gateway handles the card and returns only a token and a yes-or-no result. For cash on delivery, the courier collects the money, not us.
Automatically IP address, approximate location from it, device and browser type, pages viewed, what you clicked, what you left in the cart, and how you arrived at the site. Collected through cookies and similar tags — clause 4.
In the showroom What you tell our staff, and any contact details you leave for a quote, a sample or a home visit.

We do not ask for and do not want your Aadhaar, PAN (except where a GST invoice requires it), religion, caste, health information or anything else of that kind. Please do not send it to us.

3. Why we use it, purpose by purpose

Taking and delivering your order, and handling returns Because we cannot perform the contract without it.
Sending order and delivery updates Same — these are service messages, not marketing, and they are not optional while an order is live.
Tax invoices and statutory records Because GST and company law require us to keep them.
Answering your questions and complaints Because you asked us to.
Fraud checks and preventing abuse Our legitimate interest in not being defrauded.
Understanding how the site is used, and improving it Consent, through cookies — clause 4.
Advertising and marketing emails or messages Only with your separate opt-in — clause 8.

4. Cookies and tracking, named

Some cookies are needed for the site to work at all — keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and Shopify's own security and checkout cookies. These cannot be switched off without breaking the shop.

The rest are analytics and advertising, and these are the ones actually running on this site today:

  • Shopify — the platform that runs the store and the checkout, including its own visitor analytics.
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads — how many people visit, what they look at, and whether an advert led to a sale.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel — measures our Facebook and Instagram advertising and lets us show ads to people who have visited the site.
  • Junip — product reviews.
  • Marsello — loyalty and marketing.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off personalised advertising in your Google and Meta account settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not stop you shopping here.

We are introducing a cookie consent banner. Until it is live, if you are in the EU or UK and want your analytics and advertising cookies removed, write to us and we will act on it.

5. Who else sees your data

Only the businesses that help us run the shop, and only for that purpose:

  • Shopify — hosting, the store and the checkout.
  • Our payment gateway — to take the payment. They handle card details; we do not.
  • Courier and logistics partners — your name, address and phone, so they can deliver and call you.
  • Email and messaging providers — to send order updates and, if you opted in, marketing.
  • The analytics, advertising, review and loyalty services named in clause 4.
  • Our accountants and, if we ever have to, our lawyers — and any authority that is legally entitled to ask.

We do not sell your personal data. We never have. We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's marketing.

6. Where your data goes

Shopify and several of the services above store data on servers outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the contracts those providers offer, which oblige them to protect your data to the standard we are held to. If you are in the EU or UK, see clause 11.

7. How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records — for as long as tax and company law require us to keep books of account, and then we delete them.
  • Your account — while it is open. Close it and we delete what we are not legally required to keep.
  • Marketing contact details — until you unsubscribe, and then we keep only enough to remember not to contact you again.
  • Enquiries and complaints — long enough to show how we handled them.
  • Analytics data — for the period each provider is set to keep it.

8. Marketing

We send marketing only to people who have asked for it, through a separate box you tick yourself. It is never bundled into accepting our terms or placing an order, and it is never ticked for you in advance.

Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and every promotional message a way to stop it. You can also just email us. Unsubscribing takes nothing away from your order updates, which continue while an order is live.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete what we hold, where we are not legally required to keep it;
  • stop using your data for marketing, at any time;
  • withdraw a consent you gave us — which does not undo what we lawfully did before you withdrew it.

Write to sales@jagdishstoreonline.com or to the address in clause 1. We answer within 30 days, and in every case within the 90 days Indian data protection law will require. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operating.

10. Children

This shop is not for children. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian involved. If you believe we hold a child's data, tell us and we will delete it.

11. If you are in the EU or the UK

You have the additional rights the GDPR and UK GDPR give you: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing based on our legitimate interests or to direct marketing. Our legal bases are the ones set out in clause 3 — performance of your contract, our legitimate interests, your consent, and our legal obligations.

Because your data may be stored outside the EU and UK, we rely on the standard contractual clauses our providers offer. You can ask us for details. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

12. Security, and what happens if it fails

Traffic to this site is encrypted. Card details never reach our systems. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

No system is perfect. If a breach happens that affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities without delay, explain what happened, what was exposed, and what we are doing about it.

13. The law this sits under

Today: the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Reasonable Security Practices Rules, 2011, along with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its 2025 Rules are being brought into force in stages, with the main obligations commencing on 13 May 2027. This policy is written to meet those obligations already, so nothing about how we treat your data has to change on that date.

14. Changes

If we change this policy we publish the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes are notified by email to account holders at least seven days before they take effect.
