Terms of service
Terms & Conditions
Jagdish Store — www.jagdishstoreonline.com
Version 2.0 · Effective 8 September 2026 · Replaces the previous version of these terms.
These terms govern every order placed on this website. Placing an order means you accept them. Please read clause 15 (what we are and are not liable for) and clause 10 (returns) before you buy.
1. Who you are buying from
This website is owned and run by R.K. Furnishings Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India, trading as Jagdish Store.

We sell our own stock. This is not a marketplace — there are no third-party sellers on this site, and every order is fulfilled by us.
2. These terms can change, but not on your order
We update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that governs that order. If we make a material change, we will publish the new version with a new effective date, and where you have an account we will email you at least seven days before it takes effect.
Nothing we change afterwards applies backwards to an order you have already placed.
3. Who can buy
You must be 18 or over to place an order. If you are under 18, you may use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the order.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for orders placed through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
We may suspend or close an account where there is fraud, non-payment, abuse of our staff, or repeated returns claims we have found to be false. Except where the law or an immediate risk requires otherwise, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first.
5. What we sell, and how textiles behave
Colour. Screens render colour differently. The shade you see on a monitor or phone will not be an exact match for the cloth.
Natural variation. Dyed, woven and handloom textiles vary. Shade may differ by up to about 5% between batches or from the photograph. Finished dimensions may differ by up to about 2% after cutting, stitching and the first wash. Handloom fabric carries slubs, small irregularities in the weave and occasional variation in yarn thickness. Cotton shrinks on the first wash within the tolerance stated on the product page.
These are characteristics of the material, not defects, and they are not grounds for a return under clause 10. If an exact shade match matters to your project, order a sample or visit the showroom before you buy.
Care. Every product carries washing and care instructions on its label and, where relevant, on the product page. Damage caused by washing, bleaching, ironing or dry-cleaning contrary to those instructions is not a manufacturing defect.
Imported goods. For imported products the listing states the country of origin and the name and address of the importer.
6. Made-to-measure and cut-to-length orders
Curtains, blinds, upholstery fabric and wallpaper are cut, stitched or made to the measurements you give us. Once cutting or stitching has begun, the order cannot be cancelled and the goods cannot be returned, except where the item is defective, damaged in transit, or is not what you ordered.
The measurements are yours to get right. We will tell you what we need and how to measure before you confirm. We cut to the figures you supply.
Before production starts we will confirm the specification and a delivery date with you. Where a made-to-measure order needs an advance, and you cancel after we have begun, we may retain the costs we have actually incurred to that point — cloth cut, tailoring done, freight paid — and nothing beyond that. We will show you the figure.
7. Prices and taxes
All prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay. Any delivery charge is shown before you pay, not after.
Your price is fixed when we confirm your order. If we later change a price, it applies to future orders only.
If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price because of a typing or system error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it, and if you cancel we refund you in full.
8. Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is made when we send you an order confirmation. We may decline an order — for example where stock has run out, where we cannot verify the payment or the delivery address, or where the order looks fraudulent — and if we do, we refund anything you have paid, in full.
Cancelling. You can cancel an order free of charge at any point before dispatch, by email to sales@jagdishstoreonline.com or by phone. We charge no cancellation fee. After dispatch, clause 10 applies. Made-to-measure orders are covered by clause 6.
9. Payment and delivery
Payment. We accept UPI, Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, net banking, and cash on delivery. The methods shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your order. Payment is taken in full when you place the order unless you have chosen cash on delivery or we tell you otherwise in writing.
Cash on delivery. Pay the courier when the parcel reaches you. We may decline cash on delivery on a made-to-measure order, on a high-value order, or where a previous cash-on-delivery order to the same address was refused; if we do, we will tell you before you place it and the prepaid methods above remain open to you.
We do not store your card number or CVV. Card details are handled by our payment gateway under the Reserve Bank of India's tokenisation rules, and we never see them.
Delivery. Delivery terms, charges, timelines and what happens to a failed delivery are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these terms.
In short: we deliver to the address you give us, we cannot deliver to a PO box, and anyone at that address who accepts the parcel is treated as authorised to receive it. Delivery estimates are estimates. If we expect to miss one materially we will tell you, and you may cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched for a full refund. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
10. Returns, replacements and refunds
The full terms are in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms. The essentials:
If something is wrong with your order — damaged in transit, defective, or not the item you ordered — email or call us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the item and its packaging. Reporting inside that window lets us make a claim on the courier and settle yours quickly. If you come to us later than 48 hours we will still look at the claim on its facts; the window is how we handle it, not a door that shuts on your rights.
We verify the claim, arrange collection at our cost, and then replace the item or refund you in full, including what you paid for delivery.
Change of mind. We do not accept returns because you have changed your mind. Order a sample, or come to the showroom, if you are unsure.
Not returnable at all: cut fabric, made-to-measure curtains, blinds and upholstery, wallpaper cut to length, and any item that has been used, washed or altered.
Refunds go back to the method you paid with, within 7 to 15 days of us approving the claim.
Nothing in this clause takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. Warranty
Where a product carries a manufacturer's warranty, its terms and duration are stated on the product page and in the paperwork in the box. We pass those claims through to the manufacturer and help you make them.
A warranty covers manufacturing and workmanship defects. It does not cover normal wear, fading from sunlight, shrinkage or bleeding within the tolerances in clause 5, damage from washing or cleaning against the care label, pets, pests, or accidental damage.
12. Reviews and anything you post
If you review a product or post a photograph, you confirm it is your own honest experience of something you actually bought. We do not write, buy or solicit fake reviews, and we do not delete a review because it is unfavourable. We may remove content that is abusive, unlawful, someone else's copyright, or off-topic.
By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce your review or image on the site and in our marketing, with your first name only.
13. Our intellectual property
The Jagdish Store name and logo, the site's design, our photography, product descriptions and copy belong to R.K. Furnishings Pvt. Ltd. or our licensors. You may look at and print pages for your own use. You may not copy our photographs or descriptions onto another store, scrape the site, or use our name or logo without written permission.
14. How you may use the site
Do not attempt to break into the site, upload malware, place fraudulent orders, use bots to buy stock, or harvest data from it. We may refuse service and report anything unlawful.
15. What we are responsible for
We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality, and for delivering them.
Where we are liable to you for something that goes wrong with an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profit, lost business, or a delayed project — arising out of a delay or a defect.
These limits do not apply, at all, to:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- our liability as a product seller under Chapter VI of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; or
- anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
The website itself is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we are not liable for losses caused by the site being down.
16. Indemnity
If you misuse the site or breach these terms and a third party brings a claim against us as a result, you will cover our reasonable losses and legal costs in defending it. This does not apply to claims arising from anything we did wrong.
17. Events outside our control
We are not in breach of these terms if we are prevented from performing by something genuinely outside our control — flood, fire, riot, strike affecting a courier network, an act of government, a failure of the power or telecom grid. We will tell you, and we will offer you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a full refund. A rise in our own costs is not such an event.
18. If something goes wrong: our Grievance Officer
Write to us first. We answer.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and give you a ticket number. We resolve it within one month of receiving it. This is what the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require of us, and we hold ourselves to it.
19. Your privacy
How we collect, use and protect your data is set out in our Privacy Policy. Marketing emails and messages go only to people who have separately opted in, and every one carries a way to stop them.
20. Orders from outside India
We ship worldwide. Import duties, taxes and customs charges in the destination country are yours to pay, and are not included in the price shown. Delivery timelines outside India are estimates only and we cannot control customs.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom: you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, by telling us in writing. Return the goods to us unused within 14 days of telling us, and we will refund the price and the standard outbound delivery cost within 14 days of getting them back. Return carriage is at your cost. This right does not apply to goods made to your measurements or cut to length — clause 6 items — or to goods that have been used. Nothing in clause 10 limits this right.
21. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, that clause does not restrict you. You keep every right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including the right to complain to the District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, and to file through e-Daakhil. You can bring a case where you live or work. Nothing here waives that.
Contract and trade customers who are not consumers agree to Gurugram as the exclusive forum.
22. The rest
Severability. If any clause here is held invalid, it is severed and the remaining clauses stand.
Waiver. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we have not given it up.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, without reducing your rights.
Notices. Notices to us go to sales@jagdishstoreonline.com and to the address in clause 1. Notices to you go to the email address on your order.
Whole agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Shipping & Delivery Policy and the Returns & Refunds Policy, are the whole agreement between us on an order.
Survival. Clauses 13, 15, 16, 21 and 22 survive after your order is complete.
